From the top of Ensign Peak. About a one hour hike from the bottom to the top and back. It's the peak that the mormons first climbed when they arrived in the valley. They climbed it to get a good view of the entire valley, so they could plan their city! It is indeed a very nice view from the top!

In San Francisco we rented some bikes and biked from SF to Sausalito and took the ferry back. A really nice and easy ride.. I can only recommend doing it. It will also give you some great views of SF, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate
